Just Before You Date That Babe…

20190309_014753_0001

Hiiiii friends!!!

You know, I was having a chit-chat with myself a few days ago and these words came out of my mouth… (no i’m not crazy, well at least not yet). It felt like I was giving myself  a piece of advice as a young man, and then as a young lady… well let’s see how that conversation went 🙂

Dear Young Man,

You know, as a man, sometimes you have to be selective with the lady you share your dreams with. The truth is that it’s quite easy for a lady to become “obsessed” with just the idea of your goals and ambitions, without considering the reality of whether she is indeed fit to be YOUR partner. The safest bet for you, young man, is observation! Ask yourself, with or without you being in the picture, is this lady going all out and acting towards this same goal or value? I have seen that the best kind of people to partner with are those who have innate zeal rather than imposed passion. So just in case you are considering who to “date” and eventually spend the rest of your life with, take a deep breath, step back for a bit and OBSERVE. May all your dreams (in Christ) come true. Grace, not luck, is all I wish you dear young man.

Dear Young Lady,

You know, as a young woman, it takes a certain level of maturity to step aside and thoroughly gauge if a man’s goals and values match your true, innate aspirations. You might not be totally equipped for it at that point but that innate zeal will see you through the world of learning and growing. A man’s dreams, values, or priorities may seem so appealing and nice that all you see is yourself in that spotlight. But hey! don’t get carried away, don’t rush to take up a role you have not been called to handle. Just in case you are considering who to “date” and eventually spend the rest of your life with, take a deep breath and sincerely judge the state of your heart, the source of your excitement, and the purity of your intentions. Above all, aim to find yourself in Christ and let that guide your choice. May all your dreams (in Christ) come true. Grace, not luck, is all I wish you dear young lady.

I suppose you now understand why I really do enjoy my own company sometimes. Interesting conversations like these are always worth my me-time. What do you think?
